Eosinophilia
Eosinophilia is caused by formation and accumulation of an abnormally large number of eosinophils in the blood. Its main symptoms are cough, paroxysms of dyspnoea, fever, malaise, loss of appetite, loss of weight and pain in the chest. In absence of proper treatment, eosinophilia can lead to complications like asthmatic bronchitis, prolonged expiration, spleen enlargement, lymphadenopathy, and haemoptysis. Ayurveda compares this situation to swas roga.
Ayurvedic treatment for this disease includes detoxifying accumulated phlegm from the system and preventing its further accumulation. Immunity of the respiratory system is then increased using rejuvenating Ayurvedic herbs.
