Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
Explanation
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis more easily understood as chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is a syndrome that causes muscle pains, incapacitating fatigue, considerable loss in short-term memory, loss of concentration, including many other minor symptoms.
Signs/Symptoms
According to the stats of U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at least four to 8.7 persons out of every 100,000 adults of U.S suffer from chronic fatigue syndrome. Although this syndrome has been discovered recently, there are several instances of similar kind of disease in medical literature that dates back to 1930’s. Similar disease case reports dating back to several centuries have also been found. Which means the syndrome is not as recent as expected.
