Menorrhagia
Explanation
Hematomunia or Menorrhagia is a condition where you are going to suffer with higher and prolonged flow during Menstrual period. It could be caused due to abnormal clotting of the blood, disorders with regards to endometrial lining for the uterus and disruptions with regards to hormonal regulations.
Reasons/Causes
There are some scenarios where the exact reason of disease is unknown but there are numerous conditions for the disease. Common causes which are known to everyone are – Imbalance in hormones of Estrogens, dysfunctioning of your ovaries, uterine fibroids, polyps, IUD (intrauterine device), complications with pregnancy, cancer and some other medical conditions.
Signs/Symptoms
The symptoms and signs for the disease diagnosis are as under:
According to study from the Ayurvedic it has come to known that such condition is known as “Raktapradar or excessive flow of the menstrual blood”. When the contaminated blood flows towards the direction of pelvic they results into causes of imbalance of apana vata, which is responsible for controlling the flow. Contaminated blood and low apana vata blood increases blood during your menstrual periods, and finally leads to the disease of Menorrhagia.

You should boil 1 teaspoon of the coriander seeds, one fourth of cinnamon powder with cup of water, until it is reduced to half cups. Also add half teaspoon of powdered rock and take it twice in a day.

- You should seriously avoid the consumptions of heavy or sour foods and spicy.
- You should also avoid intake of icy cold drinks, coffee, and tea. Instead you are instructed to have drinks at the room temperature and that too which are having the cooling properties.
- Bathing and cooling showers with mint and sandalwood would be quite beneficial.
- You should avoid psychological and physical stress
- During the menstrual period you should raise your foot of the bed for keeping your legs bit elevated when you are sleeping.
