The historical sciences of Ayurveda which does not consider Migraine to be a prolong headache. It is considered to be caused by entrenched problems which also include impaired digestionand sensitive nervous system.
Improper or irregular diet and lifestyle leads to magnification of Pitta (Ayurvedichumo representing Fire) in the body. At this stage, pitta spoils digestion that causes ama (digestive impurities). This "ama" gets stored or remains insidemanovahistrotas (mind channels), becoming the main reason or cause for pain during migraine.
A nervous system which is sensitive can lower the ojas (energy) within the body, which is the soul of all body matters and imparts power to the body and nervous system. The one with powerful nervous system can easily fight against these kind of complications and follow their routine with healthy mind. This lowering energies or lowered ojas are also the reasons which cause migraine or similar type of problems in the body.
