Tonsillitis
Explanation
The inflammation of the tonsils glands due to bacterial formation causes tonsillitis. Located at the back of the throat, the tonsils glands are two essential tissues shaped like balls that prevent any bacterial infection. Yet, at some times, the back of the throat may get this unnatural burning sensation due to some viral infection and this is how Tonsilitis affects children mostly along with severe fever.
Reasons/Causes
Viral or bacterial infection causes tonsillitis. Partaking of cold drinks, ice creams, deep fried junk foods, and sweets and chocolates, have been found to cause tonsillitis. Even frozen foods consumption can cause tonsillitis.
Signs/Symptoms
The tonsils glands may swell up and may have markings of white spots on the surface as the primary symptom. The swelling becomes red in color and intensifies with cold or persistent cough, and pain in throat.

- Stay away from polluted areas and quit smoking
- Quit drinking alcoholic beverages, as they may cause further irritation to the dry throats. Further, very cold drinks also should not be drunk.
- Have a lot of liquid foods, including, soups, juices and it is true that many people find extreme relief by drinking in warm drinks.
- Do give rest to your throats by not straining your throat by speaking a lot.

- Take half a cup of lukewarm water, add a quarter of spoon of salt and use the water to gargle your throats.
